Les plus grandes bénédictions se cachent parfois dans des endroits inattendus. Voilà la raison pour laquelle nous les manquons parfois. Les premiers chapitres du livre des Chroniques ne sont certes pas les plus lus de la Bible. C’est une série de généalogies interminable. Il faut être honnête, ce n’est pas la partie biblique la plus captivante et nombreux sont ceux qui esquivent ces chapitres pour passer à quelque chose de plus intéressant. Quel dommage, car plusieurs ont manqué cet exponentialiste du nom de Jaebets qui fait une prière changeant le cours de sa vie. J’aime appeler cette prière : la prière de l’exponentialiste.
Jaebets était plus considéré que ses frères ; sa mère lui donna le nom de Jaebets, en disant : C’est parce que je l’ai enfanté avec douleur. Jaebets invoqua le Dieu d’Israël, en disant : Si tu me bénis et que tu étendes mes limites, si ta main est avec moi, et si tu me préserves du malheur, en sorte que je ne sois pas dans la souffrance !… Et Dieu accorda ce qu’il avait demandé.
1 Chroniques 4 : 9-10
Jaebets ne porte pas nécessairement le nom le plus glorieux. Sa mère l’a appelé ainsi à cause de la douleur de l’enfantement. Son départ dans la vie n’a pas été facile au point de traumatiser sa mère. À l’époque de l’Ancien-Testament, ton nom est souvent connecté à ce que tu représentes. « Jaebets » est ainsi synonyme de souffrance et presque de malédiction.
Grandir avec cet opprobre aurait pu gâcher l’existence de cet homme. Combien d’individus encore aujourd’hui ne deviennent jamais ce qu’ils pourraient devenir à cause de ce qu’ils ont été ou de ce qu’ils ont vécu. Jaebets fait donc une prière pour briser la malédiction dans sa vie et exponentialiser son univers.
« Jaebets invoqua le Dieu d’Israël, en disant : Si tu me bénis et que tu étendes mes limites » v. 9
Jaebets décide de plaider auprès de Dieu pour la bénédiction sur sa vie. Le mot hébreu utilisé est le mot barak qui signifie : « me bénir vraiment » ou « bénédiction abondante ». Dans la culture hébraïque, le concept de la bénédiction est très fort et très significatif. Les pères bénissent leurs enfants, et les enfants de leurs enfants. Il y a constamment cette pensée de la bénédiction et de la malédiction.
Jaebets décide de briser le joug sur sa vie et de prier pour la bénédiction de Dieu. Un homme béni peut alors devenir une bénédiction pour les autres. Ce n’est pas égocentrique de prier pour la faveur divine sur notre vie. Plus nous aurons accès aux bénédictions du Ciel, plus nous pourrons influencer et impacter notre entourage.
Combien d’individus encore aujourd’hui ne deviennent jamais ce qu’ils pourraient devenir à cause de ce qu’ils ont été ou de ce qu’ils ont vécu.
Au début de la pandémie (COVID19) qui a secoué la planète entière, l’église Elevation a diffusé un chant intitulé « The blessing », « La bénédiction » en français. Au milieu d’une calamité mondiale, ce chant de bénédiction a émergé et est devenu littéralement un hymne d’espoir, traduit dans plusieurs langues, chanté et diffusé des millions de fois. La bénédiction triomphera toujours de la malédiction.
Nous pouvons faire cette prière, nous aussi comme Jaebets, afin de renverser le malheur dans nos vies.

Il continue sa prière en demandant à Dieu d’élargir son territoire. Jaebets a compris qu’il y a plus avec Dieu. Il sait que les frontières qu’il connait ne sont pas nécessairement celles que Dieu a prévues pour lui et qu’il est possible de grandir et de vivre plus.
Nous pouvons faire, à notre tour, cette prière :
« Seigneur, élargis mon territoire. Que mon ministère atteigne plus de gens. Que mon entreprise développe de nouveaux marchés. Que ma vie touche plus de gens encore. »
Ne restons pas limités aux paradigmes de notre expérience, mais faisons la prière de l’expansion.
« … si ta main est avec moi, et si tu me préserves du malheur… » v.10
Jabets a vraiment compris le modus operandi de Dieu. Il sait que vivre en mode « dépendance envers Dieu » est la façon de voir la gloire divine dans notre vie. Il déclare que si « la main de Dieu » est sur moi et avec moi, l’impossible peut devenir possible. La main de Dieu renverse les forteresses, change les circonstances, préserve du malheur et assure le succès de ceux qui la tiennent.
Trop de fois dans nos vies nous entreprenons et décidons de choses en faisant abstraction de la main de Dieu. Quand nous bâtissons avec Sa main, tout devient beaucoup plus facile et solide. Voilà pourquoi sa prière est puissante et provoque l’exponentiel dans la vie de celui qui la prie.

Je veux t’encourager à commencer, toi aussi, à faire cette prière afin de voir ta vie être multipliée, tes fruits augmenter et ton influence décupler. Un exponentialiste sait que la prière est une arme redoutable et efficace. Aujourd’hui exponentialise ta vie en faisant la prière de Jaebets.
